Professor Vidya Chhabria Receives Si2 Pinnacle Award

Si2 is pleased to announce that Professor Vidya Chhabria from Arizona State University has been selected as the co-winner of the Si2 Q1 2026 Pinnacle Award, presented quarterly to volunteers who have made exceptional contributions to our success as a not-for-profit membership organization.
Vidya is acknowledged for her significant contributions to the Si2 AI/ML Schema OpenStandards Working Group, building on the public ML-EDA infrastructure from the Nvidia-ASU CircuitOps collaboration to support the working group ontology to address the challenges in data pipelining for ML for EDA.
Vidya and her team expanded on the successful CircuitOps framework to provide the elements needed for the Si2 AI/ML Ontology: dataset generation codebase including graph-based generation for GNN applications, Croissant metadata, and incorporating a data source with IR tables in the ASAP7 technology.
She is also recognized for her industry contributions running contests and hackathons at conferences including the Design Automation Conference and the International Conference on LLM Aided Design, resulting in a larger publicly available technical code base for ML training and advancing ML algorithms for industry and academia.
