ROUND ROCK, Texas, Feb 3, 2026 — The Silicon Integration Initiative (Si2) is pleased to announce that Aveek Sarkar has been elected to the Si2 Board of Directors. Aveek is currently Director, Ecosystem and Alliance Management Division at TSMC. Along with his team, he is responsible for driving semiconductor design enablement in collaboration with the partner ecosystem through TSMC’s Open Innovation Platform® (OIP), which covers EDA, IP, Cloud, design services, and TSMC 3DFabric®.
Prior to TSMC, Aveek led several product portfolios at Synopsys and prior to that, at Ansys. Aveek joined Ansys through its acquisition of Apache Design Solutions, where as a member of the executive team, he helped establish Apache as the industry leader for chip-package-system power noise analysis. Aveek started his career at Sun Microsystems where he led the development of custom digital circuits and power management strategies for several generations of Sun’s UltraSPARC microprocessors.
Aveek is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, (BTech, EE), Oregon State University (MSEE), and Santa Clara University (MBA).
